These Terms govern access to and use of MySocietyDesk. By registering a society, accessing a portal or using the platform, you agree to use the service in accordance with these Terms and any applicable commercial or onboarding agreement.
1. The service
MySocietyDesk provides software for housing-society and community administration, including selected finance, resident, communication, Smart Gate, operations, reporting and governance workflows. Available features depend on the subscribed plan, enabled modules, configuration and product version.
2. Accounts and authorised use
Users must provide accurate information, keep login credentials confidential and use only accounts and permissions assigned to them. Society administrators are responsible for managing authorised users and role access within their society.
3. Society responsibilities
The society is responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of information it enters, uploads or instructs users to process, including resident, tenant, visitor, payment, complaint and operational information. Users must not use the platform to violate privacy, intellectual-property, security or other applicable rights.
4. Plans, billing and changes
Features, usage limits, pricing, billing cycles, trials, renewal terms and add-ons may vary by plan or agreed quotation. A society may need to upgrade or enable an add-on to use certain capabilities. Material commercial terms should be confirmed during onboarding or in the applicable order/quotation.
5. Availability and product changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but maintenance, upgrades, internet failures, third-party outages or security events may occasionally affect availability. We may improve, replace or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, while seeking to minimise disruption to active customers.
6. Acceptable use
You must not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with platform security, upload malicious content, abuse messaging or notification features, scrape protected data, impersonate another person or use the service for unlawful or harmful activity.
7. Data and backups
Operational data remains subject to the society’s rights and responsibilities and the applicable service arrangement. Users should follow any export, retention and backup procedures offered by their plan and keep any separately required statutory or accounting records.
8. Intellectual property
MySocietyDesk, its software, branding, user interface and platform materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Customers retain rights in content and data they lawfully provide, subject to the permissions required for us to operate the service.
9. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended or restricted for non-payment, material breach, security risk, unlawful use or circumstances requiring protection of the platform or its users. Data handling following termination will depend on the applicable plan, agreement, retention settings and legal requirements.
10. Disclaimer and liability
The platform supports administration but does not replace professional legal, accounting, tax, security or compliance advice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, liability will be governed by the customer’s applicable agreement and mandatory legal rights.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be submitted through our Contact Us page.
For subscribed societies, an executed quotation, order form or service agreement may contain additional or different commercial terms and will control where expressly stated.
